Removes a thin slice of a part and rotates it ninety degrees.

Orthographic

Revolved section view

A revolved section view shows a thin slice of the part removed and rotated 90 degrees into the projection plane. This technique reveals interior features—like bore shapes, grooves, or holes—that would be hard to read from exterior geometry. You cut the part with a plane, take out a slim slice, and rotate that slice so its cross-section lies in the drawing plane, allowing a clear view of what’s inside while keeping the overall scale the same.

Orthographic views show the object from standard directions without exposing a cross-section. An auxiliary view projects onto a plane not parallel to the main faces to show true size of inclined surfaces, and a break line simply shortens a long feature in the drawing not to reveal interior details.
